The Queen’s jubilee was a moment in history. The BBC, of course, recorded this for prosperity. It was the biggest outside broadcast the BBC in their history. They wanted to record the process of building the stage and seating in front of Buckingham Palace. Not only for the historical value but also to show the unique capability of the BBC’s Outside Broadcast Unit. The BBC needed a partner that could be sensitive to the location, capable and flexible to meet the challenges of working with many other contractors, they needed a partner who pass their stiff security requirements, who is technically excellent so that the final film would not only be brilliant but also be suitable for broadcast. In the end, there was only one choice – Time-lapse Solutions. And the BBC were glad, they made that choice. The film is quite excellent.
